    TEAM PARENTS NEEDED!!!
Just a quick reminder for our families that each team organizes it's own tents and snacks, etc. for the tournaments. Anyone wishing to step forward and be a team parent for their daughter's team, to coordinate the set up of tents/snacks for their team, etc., please contact me and I will send you your team email list.

This job can be as much or as little as you would like. A tent, a table and some coolers or full-out bbqs and cookouts. Everyone is always very eager to help and happy to spend this time together.

Please note that each team sets up their area independently. We have had some minor issues in the past with teams who came without tents or food ending up in other team tents, accidentally eating food planned for another team, etc. While we pride ourselves on being one big family, this does make a difficult situation for everyone. Parent volunteers from each team organize and plan for enough food as well as making sure there is enough tent space to keep each team cool.

Below is the list of team parents who have volunteered already. Please contact Suzanne if you are willing to help your team organize tent space, food, and/or any other bonding activities for your team for this summer.

    Thank you in advance.

    2010 Team Parents
Pink 11/Black 11 - Acker, Fauvell and Foussadier
    Pink 12 - Mike Macrae

    South Jersey Select Lacrosse Mission
    Post Office Box 129
    Moorestown, NJ 08057

The goal of South Jersey Select Lacrosse is to offer student athletes throughout Southern New Jersey the opportunity to improve their skills, awareness, and athleticism. This will be accomplished thru clinics, camps, and summer showcase tournaments. Though Moorestown based, and originally part of the Moorestown Lacrosse Club, SJSL evolved out of the need to fill a void for all South Jersey girls interested in furthering their lacrosse skills and representing South Jersey at a national level. We are committed to improving each athlete’s level of play by bringing the best players together and enlisting the services of the areas’ best coaches and current collegiate stars. We are dedicated to teaching skills and fostering the player’s understanding of game strategies while having fun in a very competitive environment.

Once a student athlete becomes a member of a SJSL tournament team, it is their responsibility to commit themselves to making every practice, of which there will be a maximum of 20 hours. All teams will practice with one another regardless of age, to maintain a level of continuity and consistency within the program. The high school sports season and the player’s respective school practices will take precedence over SJSL practices. Players that are unable to commit to required activities or exhibit questionable or inappropriate behavior detrimental to the team environment will be replaced by an alternate.

SJSL teams will attend 3-4 top competitive tournaments each summer. Tournaments competed at in the past include in Champions Cup, Capital Cup, Lax For The Cure, Lax By The Sea, National Draw and All Star Express. All players will be responsible for travel and hotel costs. SJSL coaches will be available to assist the rising juniors and seniors in their efforts to contact collegiate coaches. All club members have access to individual skill, speed or strength sessions through their coaches.
